Summer Scholar Lazim Islam was a fifth-year senior at EKU studying network security, of which he likes to say “we are taught how to hack, but then told not to.” The native of Bangladesh started at Berea College in 2014, but then transferred to EKU.
#EKUSummer offers tons of popular course options, so it’s a great time to take classes that fill up fast in spring and fall. However, even in summer, some fill up more quickly than others. Here are a few classes more than half full. If you need them, you’ll want to register ASAP.

EKU offers both online AND on-campus classes during summer semester. There are also many ways to personalize your summer education.
Last fall, senior public health major Taleejah Pitney welcomed her first baby girl. Becoming a mother has given her a deeper motivation to succeed in her classes and the Summer Scholars program is helping her do just that. “The scholarship has helped me a lot,” she said. “Last summer I tried to take a summer class and I wasn’t able to because of finances.”
