Summer Courses Feature: ASL 101 & ASL 102
EKU Summer is the ideal time to catch up, stay caught up, or get ahead!
Taking a Summer course can also help students make progress toward graduation, take an interesting course that will boost their experience or knowledge in an important area, or take a challenging course. Students can also manage their fall and spring course loads by taking Summer courses.
The Department of American Sign Language and Interpreter Education is offering two popular courses this Summer: ASL 101 and ASL 102. These courses are ideal for students interested in taking a Summer course this year. They provide students with a functional approach to learning beginning American Sign Language (ASL). In addition, students develop a basic knowledge and understanding of conversational ASL and cultural features of the language and community in a supportive, engaging learning environment taught by highly skilled faculty. Importantly, the courses also prepare students with the practical knowledge they need to communicate using sign language, a skill that is highly sought after and in great need.
Students can register for ASL 101 and ASL 102 this Summer or access the full list of courses at summer.eku.edu. Follow @EKUSummer on Twitter for regular updates!
If you would like specific information regarding the courses, please contact Professor Katie Moore at katie.moore@eku.edu.
